A new, first-of-its-kind study has identified unique and potentially beneficial interactions between certain low and no calorie sweeteners, including stevia, and the human gut microbiota. Tate & Lyle PLC partnered with Cryptobiotix, pioneers in preclinical gastrointestinal research, on the study.
Ongoing studies focusing on the human microbiome reveal novel insights into the diverse applications of probiotics beyond gut health. Emerging research explores the intricate connection between microbiota and various health conditions, propelling innovative probiotic solutions targeting specific health concerns.
The company marks 12 years of awarding grants to graduate students to explore the critical role of the gut microbiome, yogurt and probiotics in human health.
Scientists in the field have found that the microbial community, or microbiome of the gut, affects not only gastrointestinal health, but has links to the brain, immune system and even our circadian clocks.
