The new line features a high-speed filling process that improves the density and deaeration of the flour to give a more compact, “brick shaped” appearance when the valve bags are full.

Furmano’s, a leading family-owned producer of superior quality beans, tomatoes and vegetables, is adding a new product category to its roster: Fully Cooked Ancient Grains in shelf-stable foodservice pouches.

This is the fifth expansion at the Riviana complex which began in 2006 with the purchase of approximately 310 acres of land on South Lauderdale and the company being granted a 12-year PILOT incentive for its investment to acquire the property and construct and equip the facility.

At MPC’s Dayton, OH manufacturing facility, the Lochner lab masher is paired with a custom-built lab scale system for a microcosm match of large-volume mash filtration. For the company’s food and beverage industry customers, this opens up a world of potential for product innovation, allowing them to try new recipes and ingredients expediently and inexpensively. 

Archer Daniels Midland Company joined local officials to celebrate the opening of its new, state-of-the-art flour mill in Mendota, Ill. It is the largest flour mill ever built from the ground up in North America, according to the company.

Tate & Lyle is the first corn wet-milling ingredient supplier to launch a sustainable agriculture program of this kind, with an acreage scope representing the corn it buys globally each year.
