The Grain Foods Foundation (GFF) announced that Erin E. Ball, longtime director of public relations and science for the foundation, has been named acting executive director by GFF's board of directors.
A comprehensive selection of flours and starches derived from ancient grains and seeds is increasingly being tapped for products that appeal to consumers seeking foods that are gluten-free or non-GMO, or simply have more healthful profiles.
The appointment comes after a year of growth for the brand, during which it increased total points of distribution by 67% and became the No.1 frozen pasta brand in the natural channel according to data by SPINS.
