The two companies will use Renmatix's Plantrose Process, which is a proprietary, water-based technology, and Cargill's preferred feedstocks to make highly functional food ingredients.

The $50 million fermentation facility is located in Blair, Neb., and is operated by Cargill. It produces highly sought-after, sweet-tasting molecules, such as Reb M and Reb D used to make EverSweet, and gives food and beverage manufacturers an even more scalable, sustainable and low cost-in-use solution than if these molecules were extracted from the stevia leaf.

This is the fifth expansion at the Riviana complex which began in 2006 with the purchase of approximately 310 acres of land on South Lauderdale and the company being granted a 12-year PILOT incentive for its investment to acquire the property and construct and equip the facility.

At MPC’s Dayton, OH manufacturing facility, the Lochner lab masher is paired with a custom-built lab scale system for a microcosm match of large-volume mash filtration. For the company’s food and beverage industry customers, this opens up a world of potential for product innovation, allowing them to try new recipes and ingredients expediently and inexpensively.

DuPont will use Booth # 5015 to showcase its cutting-edge science and solutions to those baking challenges. DuPont offers ingredient technology in applications across the baking industry, including yeast-raised sweet goods, cakes, tortillas, flatbreads, pan breads, buns, rolls, bagels and fillings, glazes and toppings. 

Shanghai, China-based Citromax Ingredients (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. will service China and the Southeast Asian markets with product offerings including the core Citromax product line of citrus oils and blends, beverage bases, lemon juice, lemon peel, lemon pulp, and flavorings.

OSI will begin producing Impossible Foods’ flagship product, the Impossible Burger, adding short-term capacity to Impossible Foods’ plant in Oakland. OSI will continue to expand production of Impossible Foods’ flagship product throughout 2019 and thereafter.
