Alexander G. Schauss, PhD, FACN, CFS, has been researching nutrition and botanical medicine for more than 40 years. An established expert in the field since his landmark 1969 study of high dose ascorbic acid consumption and its effect on opiate receptors, Schauss has also become a leading authority on vitamin E. A former clinical professor of natural products research, associate professor of research, and adjunct research professor of botanical medicine, Schauss currently is senior director of research for natural and medicinal products at AIBMR Life Sciences Inc.
