Rational Foods just released its nutrient-packed Achieve® food pouches. Created by Sean Daly, a chef and director of food innovation and Dr. Jonathan Thompson, a bariatric surgeon and Daly's longtime friend, Achieve® food pouches offer an alternative to sweet, powdered shakes for meal replacement nutrition.

EMPACT provides safe energy, replenishing electrolytes, vital nutrients and branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) that help the body stay hydrated during physical activity, helps maintain muscle mass during exercise and weight management and support the development and post-exercise repair and rebuilding of muscle tissue and recovery. There are a number of significant changes to nutrients on the Nutrition and Supplement Facts labels, which will go into effect starting January 1, 2020, for larger food and supplement manufacturers. The FDA has added choline as voluntary nutrient on the Nutrient Facts Label, with a DV of 550 mg. Choline was not allowed on the Nutrition Facts panel under past regulations.
