The Hershey Company confirmed that it had received a preliminary, non-binding indication of interest from Mondelēz International to acquire the company for a mix of cash and stock consideration, totaling $107 a share of Hershey common stock. The indication of interest also included other non-monetary considerations.

The brand starts with real ingredients (like wheat, potato and rice), combines them with flavors (like garlic, spinach and sweet potato) and bakes each piece thin and crispy without any artificial flavors, colors, cholesterol, partially hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup.

The details of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the next few weeks.
