Raspberry Rhubarb Goat Milk Caramels from Big Picture Farm in Townshend, Vt. is the winner of the sofi™ Award for outstanding new product of 2015. The confection is one of 33 winners in the annual competition which honors excellence across all specialty food categories, from appetizers to pastas to vinegar.
This is one of my favorite times of the year—when we learn about some of the top new products at retail and foodservice. Each spring, Information Resources unveils its annual look at supermarket “Pacesetters” ranked by first year sales. Shortly afterward, foodservice industry judges help the National Restaurant Association recognize Food and Beverage Innovation award honorees. Respectively, you can find these stories on pages 23 and 25.
After months of hard work, the newest cohort of innovative food and beverage start-ups in the AccelFoods program will present their progress to tastemakers, industry insiders and potential investors at AccelFoods' Demo Day on December 3rd in New York.
