The board of directors elected Brian Smith to serve as president and COO, effective Jan. 1, 2019. He will report to James Quincey, the company’s CEO. Smith is a 21-year Coca-Cola veteran who currently serves as president of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) group.

The brand will continue to operate independently with the same entrepreneurial spirit that has made it so successful under the leadership of co-founder and chairman Mike Repole and his BODYARMOR management team

Coke’s R&D team worked with nearly 9,500 consumers and explored more than 30 flavor options, mostly rooted in fruit, for what would be the brand’s first flavor innovations since Vanilla Coke in 2002.

Each bottle offers 100 calories. The lineup will be offered in three flavors: move it (strawberry black cherry), werk it (orange mango) and pump it (lemon lime). Vitaminwater active will be packaged in 15.2-ounce, PET bottles nationwide.

Through an agreement announced last September, The Coca-Cola Company and its bottling partners are manufacturing and distributing the pre-packaged Dunkin' Donuts® branded bottled beverages in four flavors, including Original, Mocha, Espresso and French Vanilla.

Under the new structure, company veteran James Quincey, president and chief operating officer (COO), will succeed Kent as CEO, effective May 1, 2017. Kent will continue as chairman of the Board of Directors.

The RTD tea latte segment is considered an emerging beverage category, while RTD coffees have enjoyed very strong growth over the past five years.
