Food consulting firm, Charlie Baggs Culinary Innovations announce the appointment of Jenn Farrell to R&D director. In her new role, Farrell will lead the company’s technical team in product and process development for clients.
“Bringing Jenn on board is part of a strategic expansion for our company,” said Chef Charlie Baggs, company founder and CEO. “We’re excited to have her join us as and help grow our business.”
Farrell brings more than a decade of food industry experience to CBCI from top tier CPG companies, including PepsiCo and Unilever. Most recently, she was the R&D manager for a prominent Chicago bread and bakery company. Along with broad product development and scale up experience, she has specific expertise in bakery renovation and innovation.
After earning a degree in food science from Purdue University, Farrell moved to the Chicago area where she transitioned from a student member of the Institute of Food Technologists to a professional one. She recently served as Chair of the Chicago Section of IFT, and committee chair of the Chicagoland Food Science Foundation. While volunteering with STEM programs around Chicago, she shares her love of food science by teaching elementary and middle school aged girls about it.
