Red Lobster is debuting Korean BBQ Grilled Shrimp, a new, globally-inspired preparation during Endless Shrimp as a way to meet consumers' interest in and demand for complex, and interesting flavor experiences.
"Our guests told us they love shrimp because it is highly appealing and familiar – and can be enjoyed in many ways from skewers to scampi to fried," said Danielle Connor, SVP of Menu Strategy & Development at Red Lobster. "They also told us that Korean BBQ is a flavor that would entice them to make a special trip to the restaurant, so we're excited to make it an option during Endless Shrimp."
Korean BBQ is a flavor typically found on beef, pork and chicken, and now Red Lobster is bringing guests a new way to enjoy it with seafood. The NEW! Korean BBQ Grilled Shrimp pairs wood-grilled shrimp with sweet, savory soy ginger sauce and Korean Gochujang Paste.
"Shrimp is a great way for us to put twists on familiar flavors, create news ones and introduce globally-inspired preparations," said Chef Dustin Hilinski, Executive Chef and Director of Culinary at Red Lobster. "We're really excited to introduce this new flavor and look forward to continuing to listen to guest feedback to inspire new menu items in the future."
During Endless Shrimp, guests can pick two of their favorite shrimp preparations from the lineup to start, and then, when they're ready, they can order additional shrimp options one at a time. In addition to the NEW! Korean BBQ Grilled Shrimp, this year's Endless Shrimp lineup includes:
- NEW! Parmesan Peppercorn Shrimp
- Hand-Crafted Shrimp Scampi
- Hand-Breaded Shrimp
- Shrimp Linguini Alfredo
