Global Organics, Ltd. has announced the hiring of Mark Novak as Director of Operations.

He brings 25 years of experience in the organic and natural foods industry ranging from warehousing and distribution to production and manufacturing. He has held senior Operations and General Management positions at Arrowhead Mills, Northeast Cooperatives, (now part of UNFI), Kahiki Foods and Raybern Foods. Novak will lead Global Organics’ quality assurance, sourcing, purchasing, logistics and warehouse operations.

Also joining the company is Jim Berg as Regional Sales Manager for the Western and Mountain regions.

Berg brings enthusiasm and extensive food ingredient experience, most recently heading up the FoodTech division at ET Horn. He has also held positions at Danisco, FMC Corporation and New Zealand Milk Products.

Berg is active with Southern California Institute of Food Technologists and is a former chairman of that section.
