United Sugars Corporation, leading marketer of sugar, today announced a key hire and a promotion at its Bloomington, Minnesota headquarters. Matt Wineinger will join United Sugars in June as President, succeeding retiring John Doxsie, and Dirk Swart was named Executive Vice President of Industrial Sales and Marketing. 

About Matt Wineinger
Before joining United Sugars,Wineinger served as President of Bulk Ingredients for Tate & Lyle PLC where he was responsible for global production and sales of $3.8 billion of commodity sweeteners, industrial starches, ethanol and acidulants. He supervised more than 3,000 employees and operations of corn plants in the United States, Morocco, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Turkey. His responsibilities also included managing acidulant plants in the United States, Colombia and Brazil.

Wineinger also served on the Board of Almidones Mexicanos S. A. de C.V., commonly known as ALMEX in Guadalajara, Mexico. ALMEX manufactures and markets dried and dehydrated maize and starch products, soya and wheat products and glucose and fructose corn syrups.

A native of Kansas, Wineinger is a graduate of Kansas State University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

About Dirk Swart
Swart was promoted from his previous role as Vice President, Industrial Sales and Marketing at United Sugars. Swart has been with the company since its inception in 1994, advancing his career through sales and marketing. Swart is widely recognized as a leading U.S. sugar market expert with broad knowledge of all aspects of the U.S. sugar market.

A native of Toledo, OH, Swart is a graduate of the University of Toledo and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business
