However, a new report from The Center for Food Integrity (CFI) shows a pivotal shift in cultural and market expectations for animal protein, and four emerging trends where the industry can innovate. 

Applegate Humanely Raised requires that animals are: raised with care and respect, never administered antibiotics or growth promotants, and fed a vegetarian or pasture-centered diet.

With these priorities in mind, Diana Food is setting up a new facility in Banks Crossing, GA, dedicated to chicken-based solutions from humanely-raised birds. The plant will be making its first deliveries to American customers in early 2019. 

Egg Innovations launched a new egg brand, Blue Sky Family Farms, which was made available in major supermarkets across the Midwest starting Aug. 15.
