As national brands continue to struggle with lower growth year to year in supermarkets, drug chains
and mass merchandisers, store brands sales in all the major retail channels continue their upwards trend, setting new records across the board for annual revenue.
ALDI is launching a new brand, ''SimplyNature," which features simple foods made with only all-natural or organic ingredients. SimplyNature products range from cereal, honey, fruit bars and apple juice, to pasta sauce, pizza, salsa and various snacks.

Some shopper segments appear to be increasing their acceptance of private label, with more than a third of shoppers still saying that they are buying more private-label brands than last year.
