Martina’s Hot Sauce announced the company’s new line of sauces ranging from classic – a blend of citrus, habanero, honey and other goodies – to the aguachile sauce. The products are all-natural and filled with probiotics.
In and of itself, fermented or probiotic laden foods are not a new trend. Kimchi, kombucha and pickled foods have been hot for some time now. But a live hot sauce? That is new.
Market growth in 2016 marked an annual rate of more than 2% during the preceding five years. Comparable—if not slightly lower—sales growth is anticipated year-over-year through 2021 despite challenges to the industry due to the widespread shift toward healthier living.
