To kick off the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, judges of the Most Innovative New Product Awards unveiled this year's winners. These highly competitive awards recognize the most innovative candy and snack products and companies for their achievements and new products introduced to the market over the past two years.

The Specialty Food Association's (SFA) 66th annual Summer Fancy Food Show scheduled for June 28-30 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York will not take place as planned due to events outside SFA's control - notably the national and global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel restrictions, and the Javits Center's critical service in fighting the pandemic that impacts the facility's availability.

In a letter to its community, the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) announced the cancellation of its annual trade show. The show was scheduled to take place May 31 to June 2 in Indianapolis. 

The organizers of Hi & Fi Asia-China indicate that the 2020 expo will go ahead as planned from June 22-24 at the National Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai.

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) announced that it will transition the IFT20 Annual Event and Food Expo, slated for July 12-15 at McCormick Place in Chicago, to a virtual event experience. The move comes in an effort to prioritize the health and safety of participants and the broader community throughout current and anticipated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sweets & Snacks Expo, originally scheduled for May 18-21, 2020, in Chicago, has been canceled.
