Mintel recently issued its Global Outlook on Sustainability report. The consumer sustainability study tracks environmental and social priorities, purchasing trends and engagement across the globe’s largest economies. It also provides businesses with insights and inspiration on how best to position and prioritize products and services, market-by-market, in a more sustainably-conscious world.
Despite slow change rates in grocery behaviors, a shift towards more organic products (58% of consumers now buy them) and plant-based diets is happening. Meanwhile, use of renewable energy at home (34%) and penetration levels for EVs (8%), home solar (19%), and heat pumps (18%) are all strong and growing.
