Brandable, the consumer packaged goods platform developing leading-edge wellness, food, and hardline brands, announced the appointment of John Burry, seasoned retail leader, as president of the organization. Burry joins Brandable as the organization scales channel distribution for burgeoning brands Queen V, Veggiecraft Farms, Grow Girl, and Craft City by Karina Garcia. Combining deep operational experience in traditional retail with exposure to new technologies and entrepreneurial culture, Burry brings a unique perspective on the future of retail and consumer brands.

Burry has an extensive background in omni-channel commerce and global operations, as well as a proven history of retail leadership, including operating board roles across the Tesco PLC group for more than 20 years. During this time, he worked in the UK, the US and internationally in roles that included chief commercial officer and chief customer officer, and he led innovation across a wide range of categories, brands and store formats.

Since leaving Tesco in 2015, Burry has leveraged his retail operational experience to advise a wide variety of brands and private equity/venture funds. He is currently an advisor to MasterClass, a unique education platform that makes it possible for everyone to learn from the world’s best, as well as several early stage CPG brands.
