The health-centered snack brand Toosum, known for its 100-calorie oatmeal bars, is set to launch its Protein Cookie line at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago, May 22-24.
“Time continues to show that people are tired of eating dried up protein bars or processed junk food with high sugar and calorie counts,” said Toosum founder Peter Guyer. “They are looking for real, satisfying snacks made with wholesome ingredients that they can feel confident eating themselves and giving to their kids, without a sugar high.”
Toosum’s new protein cookies fit the bill with a moist texture and indulgent taste that’s more cookie than health food, but an ingredient list that puts health first.
Protein Cookie Highlights:
• 10+ grams of protein
• 180-200 calories
• No added sugars
• Gluten-Free
• Vegan
• Kosher
• Non-GMO
“Regardless of our lifestyle, we all know the feeling when our last shred of energy floats away--usually in the morning or during the midday hump at our desk,” said Guyer. “Instead of reaching for something sugary with high calories that will have you crashing in the next 30-60 minutes, our cookies use the power of protein and fiber in oats to maintain stamina and endurance.”
Toosum’s protein cookies will be available in three flavors: Oatmeal Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, and Oatmeal Double Chocolate Fudge.
