General Mills Foodservice, Minneapolis, helps hospitals offer well-balanced, chef-inspired entrees. Good Table Entrees Made Easy is a new line of individually-portioned and nutritious pasta pouches complete with pasta, sauce and vegetables. Each of two varieties may be served “as is” or customized with protein and other add-ons for a variety of menu possibilities.
“Food plays a major role in patient satisfaction, yet many hospital foodservice operations feel the pressures of rising meal counts, reduced labor and a transition to more of a room service model,” says Chef Gilles Stassart, who helped develop Meals Made Easy and works closely with healthcare operations on behalf of General Mills Foodservice.
Created to meet today’s hospital demands, Good Table Entrees Made Easy offer an easy-prep, low-waste option for staff of all skill levels. Multiple prep methods make it easy to heat in minutes, from refrigerator or frozen-to-plate.
Pouches come in two varieties: Cavatappi Pasta with Tomato Herb Sauce and Gemelli Pasta with Creamy Garlic Sauce (pictured). Both 7oz entrees are considered vegetarian and a good source of vitamins A and C. They contain no artificial flavors or colors and no added MSG or high fructose corn syrup.
