Alan Chittaro has been named president of Faygo Beverages, a national beverage company since 1987.

“Al is as much a part of Faygo – as Faygo is of Detroit, starting as a teenager working part time as a driver/salesman. Detroit and Faygo both have earned iconic status in early American industry development. From soda pioneering to soft drink innovation, Faygo today is a Liberty Bell symbol that has survived and progressed as a hallmark within the soft drink industry,” proudly stated Nick A. Caporella, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Beverage.

“Al is no doubt a leader who has witnessed the soft drink revolution and advanced Faygo’s revered position as Michigan’s best-loved ‘Pop’ for over a century. We are extremely proud to have his leadership and loyalty on our wonderful Team National,” Caporella concluded.

Chittaro earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State and graduate degree from Madonna University.
