The energy-boosting trend may have originated in the beverage arena, but recent introductions prove it certainly has spread its wings into other categories. Case in point: PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division has added to the energizing versions of its iconic Cracker Jacks.

Cracker Jack’D Energy Trail Mixes can now be found in two new varieties—Chocolate Flavored Cherry and Mixed Berry. The pair join a lineup that includes such flavors as Cheddar BBQ, Spicy Pizzeria and PB & Chocolate, all packed with granola clusters mixed with nuts. Particularly notable about the line is its packaging: A separate pouch contains the fruit pieces to keep them fresh, and the granola and nuts crunchy.
