Capitalizing on the Greek yogurt food trend, Litehouse Foods, Sandpoint, Idaho, created OPA, a retail line of refrigerated Greek Style Yogurt salad dressings. Litehouse now offers the line to foodservice.

“Consumers love the fact that OPA offers a low-calorie, high-protein dressing option and still delivers a great taste, perfect for the health-conscious consumers,” says Margi Gunter, brand manager. “When tested independently against competitive full-fat/full-calorie regular products, OPA by Litehouse Greek Style Yogurt Dressing scored significantly higher.”

The new, gluten-free dressings are available in four flavors: Ranch, Blue Cheese, Caesar and Feta Dill. All OPA Greek yogurt salad dressings are free of trans fats, have no MSG or artificial preservatives. Three flavors have no sugar, and Caesar has just 1g sugar. Litehouse offers the refrigerated items in a 32oz salad bar bottle, a gallon container, and in portion-controlled packets and cups.
