Luna, known for its nutrition bars targeting women’s specific health needs, sponsored a forecast study with the Institute for the Future. “The Power of Snacking: The Next Decade of Women’s Changing Nutrition” revealed women are eating with deeper enjoyment but, at the same time, are looking “to remove the feelings of guilt and remorse currently associated with snacking, by adopting a more positive outlook on what they put in their bodies.”
This prompted the company to embrace the entire notion of “having your cake and eating it, too,” with its launch of Luna Carrot Cake, a snack that merges wellness with the cupcake and cake-pop trends. Each Luna Carrot Cake promises 8g of protein and 3g of fiber, with only 180 calories, and calcium, folic acid, iron and vitamin D.
