AdvancePierre Foods created a turn-key Fast Fixin’ Sandwich Bar program to help convenience stores and other foodservice venues offer hot, fresh, customizable sandwiches in a self-serve format. Now, AdvancePierre offers three new meat and poultry items to boost appetites. They include Grilled Chicken with Teriyaki Glaze, Angus Meatloaf with Ketchup and Spicy Buffalo Style Breaded Chicken. Officials note that test-market operators used the meat and poultry items with more than just sandwiches. Operators also used the Grilled Chicken variety to top off salads and positioned the Angus Meatloaf as a dinner entrée. “Our customers have expressed strong interest in having additional sandwich meats to rotate into their menu or use as limited-time special offers…,” notes Tony Schroder, AdvancePierre Foods president of convenience channels.
