“At CLIF Kid we want to make parents’ jobs easier by providing nutritious and tasty snacks their kids will love,” said Jennifer Yun, brand director for CLIF Kid. “Zbar Crispy Cookies ‘n Cream is a yummy new addition that delivers organic and wholesome ingredients in a favorite classic flavor.”
In addition to 8g of whole grains, every Zbar Crispy offers calcium, iron, zinc and vitamin D, which are four nutrients essential for kids’ growing bodies but often lacking in their meals and snacks. It is also USDA-certified organic and does not contain genetically modified ingredients, artificial flavors or colors, sweeteners or preservatives, high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, or trans-fat.
Zbar Crispy Cookies ‘n Cream is available now at select grocery and natural retailers across the country. It joins other kid-friendly Zbar Crispy flavors including Chocolate, Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter. (SRP: $0.89 per bar; $4.49 per 6-count box)
Clif also announced its Nutrition Label Conversion Tool to help parents take the guessing game out of reading nutrition labels on kids’ food, which are historically portioned to meet adults’ needs rather than those for kids. This online calculator converts nutrition information based on an average adult 2000-calorie diet into age-appropriate recommended daily allowances for kids. Now available at the CLIF Kid website, parents can direct their computer mouse over the words “Age-Specific Information” to reveal a breakdown of recommended allowances for kids.
