May 2012/Prepared Foods -- Lifeway Foods debuted a couple of cultured frozen dairy treats at this year’s Natural Products Expo West. The company’s take on Greek-style frozen yogurt, Lifeway Greek Style Fro-Yo, promises to be “packed with protein.” Each serving (in flavors such as Blood Orange Swirl, Chocolate Swirl and Honey Swirl) has 110 calories, 1g of fat and 6g of protein and also is 99% lactose-free and gluten-free.

ProBugs Frozen Kefir is a line of push-up frozen dairy pops in such child-friendly flavors as Berry Pie and Strawnana Split, but with only 70 calories and the same 10 live and active probiotic cultures as ProBugs dairy drinks. pf
