In this role, Haack will test formulations and develop new products for the Burke product line, as well as for specific customers. Her testing will include new and different ingredients, raw materials, packaging and processing methods.
"Asia's addition to our team will help optimize innovation for our customers," said Casey Frye, vice president of Research and Development. "She, along with all our meat experts and research and development team, will contribute to the Burke product quality and excellent customer communication for which we're known."
Haack received her master's degree in Animal Science, Meat Science and Muscle Biology, from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
She worked for the Agricultural Research and Development Center (ARDC) in Ithaca, Neb., designing workshops, developing curricula and helping with all facets of 4-H. Haack is a member of the American Society of Animal Science (AMSA) and the American Meat Science Association (AMSA).
