January 13/Beijing, China/M&A Navigator -- U.S. convenience food company Campbell Soup said it had agreed to establish a 60/40 joint venture in China together with its local distributor Swire Pacific, in a bid to boost its Chinese soup operations.

Exact terms of the venture were not released.
