March 14/Amsterdam/ADP News Netherlands -- Dutch brewer Heineken started production of its own premium beer brand in Mexico, one of the large and growing beer markets in the world.

The move follows the acquisition of the Mexican beer activities of local brewer FEMSA, including Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma (CM).

In addition to the Heineken brand, CM brews and markets the Tecate, Sol, Carta Blanca, Indio and Dos Equis beer brands.
