December 10/Memphis, Tenn./Stratas Foods Press Release -- The Stratas Foods LLC management committee announced the appointment of Tedd Kruse to the position of chief executive officer effective January 3, 2011.

Kruse is currently the vice president of Sweetener Sales for Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) and previously served as vice president of North America Food Oils. Other prior positions with ADM include general manager North America Food Oils, marketing manager North America Food Oils and commodity merchandiser. He joined ADM in 1993 after completing his B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics at Iowa State University.

Richard Morrison, chairman of Stratas' management stated, "The management committee is committed to the vision behind the creation of Stratas Foods and believe this business will deliver strong growth and profit in the future. With Tedd’s knowledge of the edible oils business and his proven sales and marketing expertise we are confident that he will provide the strategic leadership to achieve this vision."
