On the Street -- Chr. Hansen Finds 'Saturating' Probiotic
May 4/Esmerk Oy -- Danish company Chr. Hansen and the University of Copenhagen have found a strain of bacteria that can influence humans' degree of saturation. The probiotic bacteria is likely to be launched in two years, according to Chr. Hansen.
Contrary to other probiotic bacteria, it can be not only be used in dairy products. Marketing director Lars Bredmose of Chr. Hansen believes smoothies and fruit juices are potential application areas.
