December 10/Teterboro, N.J./Prepared Foods-- Matthias Guentert, president of Symrise Flavors, North America, announced the appointment of Liz Canty as a national account manager.

Canty now has direct responsibilities for key accounts in the Midwest, where she will be promoting all five of Symrise’s strategic pillars -– Seasonings, Dairy Flavors, Encapsulation, Vanilla and taste for life. From her Chicago base, she reports directly to Arlene Kobos, Symrise’s national sales director.

Before joining Symrise, Canty was a senior account manager at Sensient. She was a key account manager at ISP and Firmenich prior to her Sensient association. In addition to holding sales positions in the industry, Canty began her career as a food technologist at Keebler and Griffith Laboratories.

In making the announcement, Guentert said, “Liz Canty’s technical background brings an added dimension to her role as national account manager. We are pleased that Liz has joined us, and we are looking forward to her success at Symrise.”
