May 23, 2007/La Grange, Ill. —- Wayne Howard, a 20-year veteran in the research, production, sales and marketing of food ingredients, has relocated from Cognis Australia to La Grange, Ill. in his new position as market development manager — Functional Food and Food Technology. Wayne will be responsible for developing and growing the food market segments for Cognis’ Nutrition & Health business unit in the United States.

Howard brings his skills and experience with specialty ingredients to major food producers worldwide. Most recently, he was Cognis’ product manager –- Food Ingredients in Australia. “Wayne has the proven ability to deliver innovative solutions for a broad range of food applications and he will be working diligently to develop working relationships with key global customers based in the US,” said Dave Eckert, vice president, Cognis Nutrition -- Health.

A graduate of Charles Sturt University in Australia with a bachelor’s degree in food science, Howard holds an Advanced Certificate of Marketing from Corowa TAFE. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Food Science & Technology where he earned the prestigious Professional status membership (MAIFST).
