Kemps, a Minneapolis-based maker of ice cream and other dairy products, plans to move its corporate headquarters and about 115 jobs to an office complex in St. Paul's Energy Park, the company said.
The relocation will unite administrative workers from two offices in Minneapolis, including the company's central office.
"We had to look for bigger space, and we wanted to be under one roof," said Cindy Trousdale, vice president for business services.
Kemps, founded in 1914 and formerly known as Marigold Foods, employs about 1,200 people in five states. More than 200 plant and distribution workers will remain at the company's facilities in Minneapolis. The firm's new corporate home will be a 40,000-square-foot portion of the Energy Park Corporate Center at Energy Park Drive and Norris Circle
