A food product formulation contest for food science and culinary arts students has been announced by the Almond Board of California. The contest is designed to offer students the chance to receive recognition in food industry trade press as well as gaining product development experience. Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in food science, culinology and associated majors are eligible to win an opportunity to attend the IFT Food Expo 2006 in Orlando, Florida, and have their product presented and sampled there by food industry professionals.
