Omya offers innovative fortification concepts for all ages—from infants to the elderly

At Vitafoods Europe, mineral ingredients manufacturer and specialty distributor Omya will launch Omyaforte, a highly bioavailable source of calcium suitable for powdered and compressed formulations that target the increasingly aging global population.
Researchers have developed 14 non-dairy-based calcium-rich products and 12 dairy-based calcium-rich products using methods like malting and fermentation "as food-based interventions" to raise calcium intake in children.
