Making sure to not rush the process, the Chips Ahoy! innovation team developed more than 40 recipes over 3,000 hours before landing on a product that would appeal to cookie fans and the gluten free community alike.
The specially blended chocolate chips feature a higher cacao content and a higher concentrate Madagascar vanilla extract resulting in a well-rounded chocolate flavor while reducing bitterness.
2023 was a solid year for cookies and bread with launches up 6% and 5%, respectively. New cakes, pastry and sweet good introductions also were in the plus column, up 2.7% for the year. Baking ingredients and mixes posted a 1.6% decline in launches while cracker introductions dipped 4.8% in 2023.
