The Cannabist Company entered into an agreement with MINT Cannabis and Shango, as joint venture partners, to acquire all 14 Cannabist dispensaries in Florida and the company’s cultivation and manufacturing facilities in Alachua and Arcadia.
The state adopted medical cannabis in 2016, with sales beginning in early 2019. Voters approved adult-use cannabis last November after an effort spearheaded by The Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol got the initiative on the ballot.
Company also closes one Colorado location; opens locations in Virginia, N.J.
