Green Chef, recently acknowledged by Real Simple magazine, announced the launch of its new family-focused meal kit. The menu, developed by Green Chef Executive Chef Dana Murrell, will begin shipping nationwide immediately.
"Green Chef Family has been a priority since day one for us! As a working mom who cares a lot about what my kids eat, this has been an important passion project for me and our team. We developed an easy way for families to eat healthily together," said Executive Chef Dana Murrell. "We've put a lot of consideration into creating meals that are nourishing and delicious for picky eaters, yet satisfying to adults. Pecan salmon sticks with carrot-cabbage slaw and apple grilled cheese with creamy red pepper-tomato soup are a few of the recipes busy parents can whip up in no time."
The Green Chef Family meal kit delivers two dinners weekly for four people. The new Family menu complements Green Chef's existing lineup of paleo, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, omnivore and carnivore meal kits for two people. As with all of Green Chef's offerings, the Family menu is made with USDA-certified organic and GMO-free ingredients wherever possible.
"Green Chef has been providing healthy meal solutions for busy people with a variety of dietary preferences since our launch. Providing another high-quality, nutritious and time-saving option to families is a natural extension for us," said Michael Joseph, CEO and co-founder of Green Chef.
To make dinner even easier, Green Chef handles the menu planning and much of the prep work for home cooks by providing pre-made sauces and pre-chopped vegetables. That means families can have a dinner on the table in just 30 to 45 minutes. To maximize family fun, recipes are simple enough for kids to join in on the cooking. Additionally, Family is designed with prep and hands-on cooking at the start, freeing up time for parents while dinner finishes cooking in the oven or on the stove.
The Family menu is $11.99 per serving for the omnivore option and $12.99 per serving for the carnivore option.
