The worlds of root beer, ginger ale and malt beer have finally collided for the largest launch of its kind in Canada. Mad Jack introduced its premium hard root beer and ginger flavored lager in select retailers, eliciting a collective hell yeah from drinkers across the country.
The two new flavors join Mad Jack's Premium Apple Lager which launched in 2014, and won the Canadian Living 2015 Best New Product Award for New Beer. Although hard soda has seen considerable growth in the U.S., generating a reported $116 million in 2015, the category is still relatively new to Canadians.
"Last year, Mad Jack Premium Apple Lager proved to be one of the fastest growing flavored malt beverages in Canada and the number one flavored malt beverage in Quebec**," said Madeline Burch, Marketing Manager, Mad Jack. "We expect similar results with both our Hard Root Beer and Ginger flavors."
Mad Jack's Premium Hard Root Beer combines the taste of cinnamon, cloves, wintergreen, anise and sweet vanilla bean to give it the smooth creamy finish root beer aficionados will recognize immediately. For ginger ale lovers, new Mad Jack Premium Ginger Flavored Lager blends taste of freshly sliced ginger root with subtle notes of lime. All Mad Jack products are brewed in Canada and contain 5% ABV (alcohol by volume).
