With more than two decades of sales experience, Calano has held roles with food industry heavy-hitters Unilever and PepsiCo. While at PepsiCo, Calano focused on building sales for Gatorade and elevated Kroger/Food4Less to the sports drink brand’s number one customer in the country for sales velocities per store. In his most recent position as national sales director at La Michoacana, the number one Hispanic brand of ice cream, Calano led the ice cream and novelty business in the U.S. Prior to that, he was instrumental in the creation of operational and communication procedures to build a foundation for sales growth at Pulmuone Foods USA/Monterey Gourmet Foods.
“Throughout my career in the consumer packaged goods industry, I have been able to cultivate skills in account and territory management, sales planning, wholesale management and retail sales, among others,” said Calano. “Arctic Zero is an innovative company poised for accelerated growth, and I welcome the opportunity to utilize my knowledge and background to aid in the continued success of the brand.”
Also bolstering Arctic Zero’s sales roster is Director of Sales, Conventional Channels Notrica, who brings more than 20 years of experience in the ice cream industry. An industry veteran, Notrica has held roles with Unilever, Ben & Jerry's and Haagen-Dazs. Most recently, she was director, west region at So Delicious Dairy Free where she oversaw the grocery and natural channel, along with Walmart.
“In my role, I’ll leverage my extensive experience and knowledge of the growing frozen dessert industry alongside strong broker, distributor and wholesaler relationships within the grocery community to expand Arctic Zero’s presence within these channels,” said Notrica.
