Circle Foods, which operates in San Diego, has been in business for 25 years. The company also produces private label products for various customers.
The acquisition does not affect Springdale-based Tyson’s Waterloo operation, said Gary Mickelson, company spokesman.
Terms of the acquisition, which was completed Saturday, were not disclosed. Tyson said it does not plan any significant operational changes and intends to keep the existing Circle Foods management and production personnel in place to grow the business. The San Diego operation currently has about 600 full-time employees.
