January 17/Buffalo/Rich Products Corporation -- Kevin Malchoff, a 30-year veteran of Rich Products Corporation, has been appointed to the Rich Products Corporation Board of Directors and has been named executive vice president of Global Business Development, announced president and chief executive Officer Bill Gisel.

Malchoff will lead the company’s efforts to advance the strategies, capabilities and processes needed to accelerate new business around the globe. His assignment comes as part of a new governance and organizational structure representing a transition from Rich’s dual business group structure, North America and International, to one organization consisting of five regional business units: Asia/Pacific, Europe/Middle East, Latin America, South Africa, and U.S./Canada.

The organizational realignment strengthens Rich’s ability to share its global business and in-market expertise with its customers while enhancing the development opportunities it offers to associates across the company.

“Kevin has devoted the past five years of his 30-year Rich’s career as the president of the International Business Group. Under Kevin’s leadership, our businesses outside the U.S. and Canada have driven unprecedented rates of growth and success in emerging markets across the globe,” said Gisel.

Malchoff joined Rich’s in 1981 as group product manager in the Bakery/Foodservice Division and advanced to group President for U.S./Canada in 2004, and to group president for Rich’s International Business Group in 2007. Prior to joining Rich’s, he was product manager for General Foods Corporation where he was responsible for Maxwell House Coffee in its foodservice division.

Malchoff is a member of the Worldwide Board of Directors for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) of which he was chairman. Malchoff is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, a member of the Cornell University Council and a member of the Advisory Council of Cornell’s Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management.

In 2004, Malchoff received the Outstanding Alumni Award from Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He is also a past recipient of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) Presidents’ Award (1996) and the IFMA Key Person Award (1999), given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to forward IFMA’s long-term growth. In 2003, Kevin also received the North America Association of Foodservice Equipment Manufacturers Doctorate of Foodservice Award.

Malchoff received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Cornell’s Johnson School of Business.
