November 9/Cheshire, U.K./ Ocean Spray Press Release -- Ocean Spray Ingredient Technology Group (ITG) has appointed a new business development manager for Asia. Anthony will be responsible for building the market for cranberry ingredients in the region. With experience in leading marketing campaigns across eight countries in Asia, as well as fluency in Japanese and local knowledge, Garreffi is expected to help Ocean Spray ITG reach new heights.
Originally from Springfield, Mass., Garreffi has been living and working in Japan for over 16 years. Most recently, he was based in Osaka as the director of Lenox Tools, part of the Newell Rubbermaid Group and succeeded in driving new business in the region. A graduate research student from the prestigious Kyoto University, he specializes in leading Japanese business operations.
Commenting on the appointment, Mike Stamatakos, vice president, Agricultural Supply and Development at Ocean Spray says, “Anthony’s extensive knowledge of the Asian market will be integral in raising the profile of cranberries and Ocean Spray ITG. As the cranberry has started to gain popularity in Asia in the last few years, we welcome this new addition to the team.” Of his new position, Garreffi added, “I’m looking forward to working with our local representatives to build on the success of Ocean Spray ITG to date.”
