December 30/Food Weekly Focus -- Sartori Foods, an artisan cheese company, hired Marc Shelly as national account manager for the retail business.
Shelly brings a track record of success in selling premium products within the specialty grocery class of trade. "We are pleased to have Marc join us as one of our team members on the retail side of our business," says Jim Sartori, CEO of Sartori. "His retail and broker expertise and experience will help us continue the growth trends on our internationally-acclaimed Sartori cheese line."
Shelly has held previous positions in Sales and Account Management with ConAgra, Nabisco, E.J. Brach, and Advantage Sales and Marketing. Most recently, he was national account manager for Robert Rothschild Farms, an award-winning gourmet dips and sauce company. As national retail sales manager, Shelly will be responsible for growing profitable new business for the Sartori Reserve line and the retail segment of the business.
