November 16/M2 EquityBites -- U.S.-based investment firms The Blackstone Group and Lion Capital LLC said they have completed the sale of French soft drinks producer Orangina Schweppes Group to Japanese beverage supplier Suntory Holdings Ltd.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Japanese company submitted a binding offer for Orangina Schweppes in September, and all regulatory and legal requirements have now been completed.

The two private equity firms had controlled Orangina since 2006.
