July 1/Food Weekly News -- Beverages Holdings, LLC, the parent company of the Sunny Delight Beverages Co., Veryfine Co. and The Elations Company LLC, has acquired substantially all the assets of Bossa Nova Beverage Group Inc., a Los Angeles-based company. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"The acquisition of Bossa Nova further accelerates our commitment to offer consumers more wholesome beverage choices," said Billy Cyr, Beverages Holdings' president and CEO. "We believe that combining our capabilities with the talented team who created Bossa Nova from scratch will further ignite the growth of this exciting, great tasting brand."

"We will be positioned to take advantage of our new partner's world class supply chain to both vertically produce and distribute our superfruit beverages with the highest possible quality." Bossa Nova will continue to be run by Johnson and his management team from their L.A. offices.

Bossa Nova's product line includes the original acai juice, as well as acai juice with blueberry, raspberry, mango, or passionfruit; mangosteen juice with passionfruit or dragonfruit; acerola juice with mango or red peach; and goji berry juice with tart cherry.
