Danish-Swedish dairy group Arla Foods is reportedly under pressure due to low milk prices, and has therefore started new merger talks.
According to the Danish business daily Borsen, the company has started merger talks with Dutch dairy group Camping.
The German dairy Nordmilch and Dutch dairy Friesland have reportedly also made overtures to Arla.
A spokesperson for Arla admitted the negotiations and said that a merger would be finalized soon if negotiations move in a positive direction, reported the Danish news agency Ritzau.
